Jake Johnson founded Dakota Green with a clear vision: build a medical cannabis company rooted in integrity, community, and long-term care for patients. What began as a dream has grown into one of South Dakota’s most respected medical cannabis ecosystems, without losing its human core.

As CEO, Jake leads with trust and accountability, creating a workplace where people feel supported and empowered to do their best work. He’s known throughout the company as a steady, thoughtful leader who puts people first. Both the team behind the scenes and the patients they serve.

Outside of work, Jake is deeply family-oriented, and is proud of his wife Tara and two kids Benjamin and Clara. His sense of responsibility shows up in how Dakota Green operates: carefully, intentionally, and with an eye toward building something that lasts.

Born and raised in South Dakota, Nevada Ellison is a fifth-generation farmer and a long-time advocate for medical cannabis. His connection to the land and to plant science runs deep.

Nevada brings decades of cultivation experience to Dakota Green, including early leadership roles in Colorado’s medical cannabis industry and hemp production under the North Dakota Hemp Pilot Program. His expertise spans plant biology, organic growing methods, pest management, soil health, fungi, and nutritional optimization. This knowledge that directly informs the quality and consistency of Dakota Green’s indoor medical flower.

As COO and Head Indoor Cultivator, Nevada blends precision, patience, and purpose. His focus is simple and unwavering: grow the cleanest, most reliable medical cannabis possible for patients who depend on it.

Brandon Manger, known to many as “Mango”, leads cultivation at the Dakota Green Terp Ranch, where cannabis is grown in living organic soil using regenerative, sun-powered methods. With over 15 years in the cannabis industry, Brandon brings both deep technical knowledge and genuine reverence for the plant.

He believes the sun is a missing ingredient in modern cultivation, unlocking fuller genetic expression and richer terpene profiles. His approach is rooted in stewardship: caring for the soil, the plants, and the land so they can, in turn, care for patients.

A South Dakota native, husband to his Queen Jenah, and father of three beautiful children Willow, Cedar, and Cypress. Brandon brings warmth and openness to everything he does. He’s quick to connect with anyone and deeply grounded in why this work matters. For him, cultivation is about service. Growing safe, effective medicine and offering relief as an act of care, one plant at a time.

Angie is the manager at Dakota Green Dispensary with over 20 years in customer service and management. She loves modern cannabis culture and is all about creating a welcoming judgment free space where customers feel comfortable, informed, and taken care of.

Angie leads the Dakota Green Dispensary with a calm, welcoming presence that immediately puts patients at ease. Her strength lies in helping people navigate the dispensary experience without overwhelm. Especially those who are new, unsure, or simply need a steady guide.

Patients consistently thank Angie for her wholesome energy and thoughtful approach. She creates an environment where questions feel safe to ask and education happens naturally, not forcefully. Under her leadership, the dispensary feels approachable, organized, and genuinely patient-centered.

Sarah leads Redwater with a balance of deep product knowledge, calm leadership, and genuine human connection. With a background in running small businesses of her own, she brings an entrepreneurial mindset to the dispensary. She’s always thinking about how to make the experience clearer, more inclusive, and more meaningful for patients.

Known for being cool, collected, and effortlessly approachable, Sarah takes extra care to understand every product in the store so she can guide patients with transparency and confidence.

A mother of four free-spirited, creative kids, Sarah brings creativity and authenticity into every part of the dispensary experience. She has led Redwater Cannabis Care for three years and counting, shaping it into a space where education, trust, and community come first.

Rob brings a relaxed, upbeat energy to Yellowstone Cannabis Care, helping patients feel comfortable from the moment they walk in. Known for his quick wit and easygoing style, Rob has a natural ability to ease nerves and turn the dispensary visit into a positive, approachable experience.

He excels at helping patients slow down, ask questions, and enjoy cannabis for what it is—medicine, yes, but also something that should feel approachable and human. Under Rob’s guidance, the dispensary experience feels less intimidating and more inviting.
